Welcome to Five Trees
Every product we buy leaves a mark on our planet—not just in how it’s made, but also in how it’s packaged. Some packaging lasts hundreds of years in landfills, while others return to the earth within weeks. Until now, it has been difficult for consumers to know which is which. That’s why we created Five Trees, an easy-to-understand rating system that helps people and businesses choose packaging that is better for the environment.
Why Trees?
We chose “trees” instead of “stars” because trees represent life, renewal, and long-term sustainability. Just as a healthy forest balances carbon, water, and soil, our goal is to balance convenience with responsibility. Every product label under the Five Trees system helps consumers see
the environmental cost of packaging at a glance.
Our Philosophy
We want to empower everyday choices. Whether you’re shopping for groceries, clothes, or electronics, Five Trees makes it simple: the more trees, the more environmentally friendly the packaging. By shifting consumer demand and encouraging industries to adopt better practices, we can grow a culture of responsibility and literally plant the seeds for a healthier planet.
